TOMAS
VERASTEGUI

Tomas Verastegui a skilled cellist and educator, began his musical journey with classical guitar before transitioning to cello under Prof. Patricia Eugenia Lopez. He pursued further studies in music education, focusing on cello and piano at the University of Texas at Brownsville. With extensive experience in education, he has served as a tutor for ear training, solfege, music history, and theory, and has been teaching cello and piano privately for over a decade. Additionally, he founded and directed The Brownsville Youth Community Orchestra and the RGV Youth Orchestra, and now serves as the founder and artistic director of The Stringphonics, a renowned music ensemble based in Edinburg, Texas, which has gained recognition as one of the leading ensembles in the US under his guidance.
